NEWS...November 2009 Firstly we’d like to send a huge congratulations to Ego Lemos for his recent award at the 2009 APRA Screen Awards. Ego won the award for best original song composed for the screen with his song ‘Balibo’. We were honoured to be a part of the recording of his first album, which was released through Skinnyfish Music, and features the awarded composition. We are currently working with Skinnyfish and Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunipingu mixing the next Saltwater Band album. It has been a busy year at Audrey with many exciting new projects in the works. Melbourne comedy trio Tripod layed down some tracks for an animation, inbetween their extensive touring schedule. We’ve also had the country delights of the Junes in the studio recording and mixing their upcoming album. Nick Barkers new album has just been released which we mixed and mastered for him as we did for the Joelenes for their recently launched album. David Hosking has just Launched his album ‘Down Every Street’ to rave reviews. The album was recorded half at Audrey and half in Belfast and then back to Audrey for final touches and mixing with Craig Pilkington at the production helm. The young and endlessly talented Nicola Watson recorded and mixed her debut album ‘Clear is the Coast’ at Audrey also produced by Craig Pilkington. Her CD is receiving a lot of attention throughout the indie/pop scene in Melbourne. Nicola gained support from the Victorian Government through the Victoria Rocks program for this particular project, while Institut Polaires’ much anticipated debut full-length is also nearing completion with a single out soon.
